What Causes Crack on Charcoal Rod?

What caused cracks on charcoal rod during the machining process?  As a professional charcoal machine manufacture, Gongyi Tongli Machinery Factory will analyze the problem. 

The problem can be analyzed from mechanics terms. Sawdust is subjected two kinds of forces in the molding cylinder. One is power from the motor through the screw rod; the other is resistance from barrel wall extruding. Normally, the force is greater than the resistance. The greater the power, the rod production speed will be faster. Density is proportional to resistance. The greater the resistance, the density will be bigger.

There are two ways to keep power and resistance large enough. The first way is: assure the radial clearance between barrel and screw rod. Generally the smaller the better, there is no clearance best in theory. However, it is impossible. Therefore, it is good that the radial clearance is about 1mm. For flared barrel, subject to the clearance of forefront ring of screw rod. The second way is: Reduce the resistance. Heating coil is used for it. When the clearance between screw rod and barrel becomes larger, heating coil can be used for reducing resistance to make charcoal rod. The resistance is smaller, so the density of charcoal rod is not as good as before. When the resistance is too small, there will be crack on charcoal rod or charcoal rod making machine can not mould charcoal rod.
